Our manufacturing know-how is especially strong in extrusion, vulcanisation, wire drawing, overmolding and assembling. Overmolding and hybrid hoses were technologies imagined and developed by Flexitech in the early 2000’s; we are the pioneers of these concepts.

1956
Loockeed group created in France.
1980
Acquisition by the Freudenberg group.
1999
New assembly plant opened in Bloomington, Illinois.
2001
New hose factory opened in Panissières, France.
2005
Freudenberg brake hose becomes Flexitech.
2008
Flexitech is bought out by Mitsubishi Corp and Meiji Rubber.
2009
New assembly plant opened in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
2011
New assembly line installed in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
2013
New hose extrusion plant opened in Mexico.
2015
Flexitech is taken over by Sun Capital.
2016
Programme launched to expand technologies and capacities in Romania.
2017
New hose extrusion and assembly plant opened in Wuxi, China.
2018
Introduction of Lean Manufacturing.
2019
Expansion of the hose manufacturing plant in Mexico.
2020
Start of the diversification strategy.
2021
– Cultural change of the company with a new Vision, Mission, Values and new ambitions for strategic diversification – A new logo was created.
– Acquisition of BHP Srl, leader in aftermarket brake hoses.
– Transfer of American production to San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
2023
Relocation of the Brazil plant to a larger industrial site.
